SN: I was at a trivia night tonight with some friends and the music round was Christmas pop songs. Guess which song was one of the ones they played during that round?? I was literally one of like a handful of people who recognized it
All we can do is hope that, someday, all these hours of ATRL will pay off in real life.
The lead single from Push and Shove is #15 on our countdown. The highly anticipated song ended up peaking at #34 on the Hot 100. Settlw Down is great but Push and Shove has much better songs that would have been better as the lead single. I would say its placing is about right.
The moderately successful second single from Return of Saturn lands at #14. This amazing track features elements of New Wave and Punk Rock and was actually slightly more successful than the lead single, New. As we get closer to the Top 10, I feel that as great as this song may be, it's placing is just fine.
Okay placement for Settle Down, and I'm happy Looking Hot is higher than it.
But WHAT THE **** with Ex-Girlfriend. Only #14???
(I will say, though, that I'm probably a bit attached to Ex-Girlfriend because it's the No Doubt video that was being played heavily on MTV Latin America just as I started getting into music and videos. But still... )
