I think night time is more imp (or should i say just as important) because its when your body is resting and is regenerating/restoring & repairing (Wow a lot of words starting with R).
Day time creams are focused on protecting the skin so they have SPF and are lightweight
Night time creams are more of regenerating the skin and preventing anti aging, and they don't have SPF so they're more heavier and focus on rejuvenating the skin.
For me i use La Mer Gentle Soft Cream, its kind of high end but its literally been a miracle for me.
I use it both day and night, which is bad since it doesnt have SPF for day
I'd probably recommend your nighttime to be more pricier than your daytime.
Clarins, Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier all have great moisturizers.
Never heard of Cetaphils night time moisturisers so i cant vouch for that.
Serums!! Ive been using Estee Lauders advanced night time serum, omg its been so good!
As for exfoliating, i use clarisonic. But before that i would use Glamglow charcoal exfoliator, or something from Lush since they have great products.
