Actually I think that these are the real numbers. If I'm not mistaken Warren I think you used the weekend estimates from boxofficemojo.com, but these are the real numbers from boxofficemojo.com. Sometimes it takes them a while to get the weekend grosses on Monday.

Transformers is doing great! I guess I' underestimated its weekend potential. Still, I scored 90.25% accuracy on this weekend's Box Office Mojo predictions...a personal best!

'Harry Potter' Flies with the 'Phoenix'
by Brandon Gray
July 15, 2007
The Harry Potter series once again exerted its box office might with its fifth entry, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Though the picture had by far the smallest opening weekend of the franchise, due to its Wednesday debut burning off demand, it handily conjured the best five-day start.
With the third-widest release on record, 4,285 theaters, and playing on over 9,000 screens, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix summoned an estimated $77.4 million over the weekend. Since Wednesday, it has grossed $140 million, charting as the sixth highest-grossing five-day start of all time. The next closest of the series was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at $119.7 million.
This was the first Harry Potter to start on a Wednesday and its $44.2 million opening day was the biggest Wednesday ever, topping Spider-Man 2 and ranking fifth overall. It's also the first Potter to open in July. The first, second and fourth movies were November releases, while the series' lowest grosser, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, debuted in early June. Since it's in the thick of summer, Order of the Phoenix should have potent weekday returns, though its second weekend drop is likely to be steeper than the November Potters.
While Order of the Phoenix's marketing continued the series' descent into darkness—the trailer and poster feature the villain uttering "you will lose everything"— it did focus on action, showing Harry Potter taking the lead for a change as opposed to previous passive presentations. What's more, the imminent release of the seventh and final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, contributed to awareness.
Retreating from the top spot, Transformers logged an estimated $36 million, down 49 percent. Among past Independence Day openers, the robo-spectacle's second weekend hold, while not good, was better than War of the Worlds and comparable to Spider-Man 2. With a prime $223 million in 13 days, Transformers now ranks as the highest-grossing robot-themed picture ever, climbing past Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which still leads by a wide margin in attendance.
Off 38 percent, Ratatouille simmered with an estimated $18 million for $143 million in 17 days. While it still trails Cars through the same point, it became the top grossing rodent-themed picture on record, inching past Stuart Little.
Live Free or Die Hard steamed past the $100 million mark on its 19th day of release. The action sequel pulled in an estimated $10.9 million over the weekend, down 39 percent. Finally, despite the advent of Order of the Phoenix, holdovers in general were solid in percent drop-offs. Several wide releases fell 30 percent or less, including License to Wed, 1408 and Knocked Up.

The official total for the weekend was 77.1 million for HPATOTP.
That brought it to 139.7 million for the 5 days.

I think that Transformers is doing really good since it's something that we really haven't seen before and it's doing really good.
Congrats to Harry Potter for so far having the best 5 days of the series and hopefully it can beat Sorcerer's Stone, which has the best gross of the whole series, which is kind of sad, but it did set the bar high.

Adam Sandler continued his winning streak with goofball comedies this weekend as I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry topped the box office on a competitive weekend.
Chuck took in $34.8 million, according to studio estimates from box-office trackers Nielsen EDI.
The film met most analysts' expectations and marked Sandler's eighth broad comedy to open higher than $30 million. His biggest debut was 2005's The Longest Yard, which opened with $58.6 million over Memorial Day weekend.
Chuck nudged out Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which dropped 58% from its debut to take second place and $32.2 million. Potter has raked in $207.5 million.
The surprise of the weekend, however, was the strong performance of Hairspray, which took third with $27.8 million. The John Travolta musical eclipsed projections by almost $8 million.
Transformers was No. 4 with $20.5 million, bringing its three-week total to $263 million.
The Pixar animated comedy Ratatouille was fifth with $11 million. It has earned $165.6 million in four weeks.
Ticket sales for the weekend dipped 14% from last weekend but were up 5% from the same weekend last year.
For the year, ticket sales are up 5% over 2006.
Final figures are due Monday.

Definitely Harry Potter would've been #1 if it weren't for the book's release. Even the book made more money than the movie did for this weekend.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what is in store for Harry Potter since the book is going to die down a little, but then the Simpsons Movie is on it's way.

Um the book sold 8.3 million copies in it's first 24 hours in the U.S., so mulitply that by about 34.99 for each book and that should give you your answer.
The book might just affect this weekend's numbers, but remember that it's about 750 pages, so people will have take time to read it and that means not going to see Harry Potter at the movies.

Oh. Sorry.
Since I'm a member of boxofficemojo.com, I predicted about 44 million. I think that it's fan base is strong enough to make over 40 million dollars, but after that it's up to word of mouth and what people want. You'll still have Harry Potter, Transformers, Hairspray, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry out, not to mention a Sunday, which is the weakest day of the weekend for boxoffice, but I don't know how people will like the Simpsons Movie, I think that it will do good and it looks good, so I might check it out.
I did watch the series when I was younger, but I kind of grew away from it, so I don't know.
