And 90% of Arrow's viewers don't read comics (why do you think every advertisement/poster features a shirtless guy) so don't try to cling to the notion that they "have to follow the comics." Fan reaction to Felicity has been overwhelmingly positive, while fan reaction to Laurel has been overwhelmingly negative.
None of us know what the endgame will be. It might align closely with the comics, it might not.

yes many viewers do not read comics, but alienating the hardcore fanbase who are geeks/comic book fans and Green Arrow fans is a big no-no!
And i hate that these ships have potential to ruin a tv show - like i said, this is not a ****ing romantic comedy, it's a show about a DC Comics character who already has his story and it is just being told (sometimes interpreted a bit differently)
Endgame being some romantic wedding ceremony of "olicity" would be a huge sell out. Look where TVD is now because of them letting fans basically decide who ends up with who.
And to the people mostly teenage girls and soccer moms who watch the show for "Olicity" and the "romance" should probably go petition for a "The Notebook" TV Show or some other dramedy/romantic comedy/love story
