Obviously you were thinking about Beyonce and cared enough about it to post it on ATRL. Don't backtrack now. You didn't even post your opinion in the OP lol. And what makes your faves Rihanna and Ariana Grande who BTW is one of the most hated celebs in this country better than Beyonce
|
1.) I saw it on another forum I browse.
2.) What was running through my mind is, "Wow, lemme post this on ATRL for a hit thread full of kii's.
3.) I didn't post my opinion in the OP because as you can see from the title, this thread is about NYTimes feelings about Beyonce and not mine.
4.) I'd rather be hated for my missteps than be loved because I go out of my way to censor every single thing I do so no one can see the real me.

I think she refrains from making interviews and TV appearances and such because those are promo opportunities. She doesn't need that kind of exposure anymore, since BEYONCÉ it has been proved that she doesn't need one tiny bit of promo to be successful. I love how she is a private person yet manages to share some of herself and her life with the public. I don't like it when artists overexpose themselves because that's a distraction from the art itself. You don't have to know what they ate the day before in order to like the art.

I don't understand how people who aren't even FANS of Bey are the most upset about her not saying anything.
Beyoncé fans don't give two ***** if Taylor, Katy, Rihanna, Gaga, etc do interviews, go on tours, promote their albums, perform at award shows etc. We care about BEYONCE.
When Beyoncé is brought up we show up otherwise we dont care. Thats the difference, most Beyoncé fans could care less about what other stars are doing if it has no relevance to Beyoncé, but most of the other stans/fans always want Beyoncé to act the way THEIR fav acts even though they are not even FANS of Beyoncé. If you are a sometimes fans who likes her music then WAIT until she puts music out why does her personal choices, and her choice to not do interviews upset you so much? i like Rihanna and Gaga's music but do you think I'm checking for all of their issues and choices outside of giving me a bop? NO! Gaga is starring in AHS right now and i couldn't tell you one thing about her role except that she is going to be on there, why? Because she aint my fav and i aint checking for her that much.
Beyoncé is different, y'all claim she aint your fav, you claim u only check for some songs by her but critique her on everything like she was your fav!

What even is your argument at this point? Beyonce is a perfect, genius who controls every facet of her career and everyone that disagrees is a hater?
|
Well my argument still stands, Beyoncé wants her focus to be on her art, not her personal life, and as fans we should all be focused on that too. As much as I LOVE seeing pictures of Blue Ivy, I do not expect her to share her entire life for me and the world, as that is not what makes me love her.
In regards to empathy, that got far from the original post I made trying to get someone to understand how you couldn't really comprehend how much power you had, if you had the power she has. That interview she said that in was in 2013, which is when you say she last answered a question. And really though, you don't have to hear her answer questions for you to be able to imagine the power she has as a celebrity of her magnitude.

I always land at this conclusion in all honesty.
For some reason, it's become the huge neon pink elephant in the room.

In any case, I'm personally glad that Beyoncé stopped giving interviews. It let's everyone know that she's self-aware. And that's why I'm a fan of Beyoncé (and self-aware people). She's dumb as a bag of bones, and she knows it. Beyoncé reminds me of Forrest Gump. At the end, when Forrest says to Jenny, "Is he smart? Or is he... like me?" That's Beyoncé. Knowing that you're stupid gives you a higher form of enlightenment, especially moreso than those who are stupid and aren't self-aware to realize it, i.e. Lady Gaga. Forrest Gump becomes an acclaimed, celebrated, billionaire, all whilst being self-aware that he's not smart. Jenny, on the other hand, who is just as stupid as Forrest, isn't self-aware that she's stupid, and therefore can be represented here as Gaga, because, let's face it, Gaga also tried to kill herself and will probably, at some point, die of AIDS.
In conclusion, Beyoncé not giving interviews because she's aware she's a moron is a good thing, not a bad thing. With the invention of social media, she can still have a presence, without having to say a single word anymore.
(Note: Katy Perry is also a moron. She's not self-aware, unfortunately.)

Yes, they are even remotely the same. Both are situations where someone has a lot of accomplishment and they can't comprehend it.
Beyoncé's is simply worded differently but they have the same meaning.

Well have you ever met Beyonce? Have you ever had a conversation with her?
No, you are just judging from the point of the public. You are not anymore obligated to Beyonce than anyone else. She is an entertainer and does a damn good job at it. She isn't here to make herself more relatable or a friendly figure to you. I don't personally like Rihanna' e-thuging or Ariana Grande decision to luck donuts and continously portray herself as a mean spirited diva but that's what they choose to do and frankly it's none of my business
