How? Party Rock Anthem was Huge, Call Me Maybe was Huge. Blurred Lines was Huge. Fancy isnt even the biggest selling song by a female rapper this decade... not even #2. It was a normal size hit that barely outdid the other songs by a small margin

Cheerleader will be the Song of the Summer if no other song is coming. 'Fight Song' isn't posing any type of threat. It just has sales, but has small airplay and is gaining slowly. On top of that, it's not even T50 on US Spotify. If it doesn't get any big radio gains, the sales will just fall.

I'm so ready for the Mid-Year report July 1st/2nd.

Yeah, Rihanna had an incredible opportunity to snatch summer 2015 & dominate the entire industry but she ****ed up.

If she hadn't tried to go all "artsy fartsy", she would've easily won the year, 2015, as she would've been the only main pop girl to come through with new music. She would've literally had no competition.

I agree she was everywhere. But there was no songs like Rolling In the Deep, Blurred Lines, Call Me Maybe, Party Rock Anthem and ect when she came out. Just look at how Black Widow did with real competition (AATB and SIO) it peaked at #3 and barely sold 2 million

In comparison to other "songs of the summer" from previous years, Fancy might not be that big, BUT it did kind of dominate last summer & had it's own distinct place. It really was all over the radio, so yeah, it kind of was the song of the summer.
