I love how all these articles keep saying she's not working on anything when Tedder himself confirmed not that long ago that they had been in the studio together and that the new stuff "truly sounds great".

I mean was there just not an article saying she was working with Dam Albarn?

It's either she's not working on something or she's not happy with the material. The desperation for news at this point. Probably only a select few know her true feelings about the album anyways and the ones that do would never leak it to the press.

BTW... I know we should take this with a grain of salt, but there is a music industry insider who is reliable (he saw Nicki's album covers before anyone else and knew about Gwen's new single before most people did), and he confirmed Adele, P!nk, Rihanna, Madonna, and more are all releasing next year: http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.ph...6#post25381886. The funny thing about these "insiders" is that Adele would never have anyone close to her who would leak stuff to the press.

And to be fair, she told us the wait would be long. She said she would take time to herself, etc. The waiting has been terrible but it's not like she promised us anything. The tweet gave us hope but it was just a reminder why she's stayed quiet about the album. Don't want to say anything that may or may not happen.

I do believe she felt the album could finished by the end of the year though and probably planned to release it but still wanted to do a little more work. With that said, the album should be almost finished. If she felt later this year was a possibility then it has to be pretty far along and she has to be pretty satisfied with it.

I think January is a strong possibility. Could've just decided to wait until the new year/after the Holidays. I don't buy the stories that say she's unhappy with it and I don't think she's still doing THAT much work on it at this point. She's been working on it for almost 2 years now.

I just find it hard to believe that she's unhappy with the material (or that it's nowhere near finished) if she felt comfortable enough to tweet that it would be coming later in the year.

That would make 0 sense. If she was unsure of it, she would have never teased a possible release knowing it would become major news.
