I needed her to get the Vanguard award because I want a 15-minute performance... but she doesn't really have an epic "pop-star" MV. Try is just beautiful and artistic, but it's also understated so it isn't epic.
I'd have liked an extended music film but it's just not her style I guess. Something with a great bad-arse storyline

Was in an @Uber when my song w/ @Pink came on. Within 10 seconds, the driver changed it to a station that was on commercials. That bad huh?
Avril's pissed she didn't win. And MS Dynamite's shady expression. I live!
she's such a weird cutie <3 <3 <3 love her <3 <3 <3
to the video thing question: also francis lawrance. he directed pink's best video IMO which was also a trendsetting video.
i always wanted pink to make a longer video, a little mini-movie (i even wrote a screenplay for funhouse), but i guess that's not what she wants and if she did it nowadays people would call her a copycat cause of gaga, i figure.
Also, I'm not saying that the videos are bad. They're just not what a lot of people who aren't P!nk fans would point to as being great videos, works of art if you will. Well she has some. But some don't make you known for something.
I'm just saying that to be taken seriously, you have to take yourself seriously. Let it be known that you put an effort into your videos. It's a shame that U + Ur Hand was released during her slump and before YouTube became really popular because it's a great video. A few tweeks would have made it amazing though.
I know what you mean and I agree. I've always wanted her to do a huge video. Come to think of it, save for Try, the videos during TTAL era were a letdown.
Wow, 10 days until P!nk on Ellen seasons and a couple more days until a live performance and around that time the new era will start with P!nk announcing her retirement.
Soon after that RCA will sue the pants off of her
Then Australia will declare war against the United States
Millions of people will die due to P!nk's laziness
You guys know she's performing Today's The Day live New York on like the 10th or something.
Yes. But you also said you knew something else you can't say. Tell us!

I'm convinced MTV just bought up all dispensaries before airing this show
Yeah, it was a few days before her concert in Norway and I was so worried that she wouldn't make it. Fortunately, she made it and that was the first time I went to a P!nk concert. That was also the day P!nk became my number one favorite artist.

Nice! I tjought she was a trooper for getting back on the harness a few shows later
That tweet reminded me of my big dream: only her, standing alone in the stage and singing her lungs out acapella. On the next award show she could do that. Please.
Can I ask a noob question?
I have always wondered, but never found out. Is it P!nk that comes up with the melodies for her songs and works together with the producers to make the music, or is she just writing the lyrics?

Most of the time, I think she writes the lyrics and the producers write the music or co-write the music. I believe that's the case. Anyone want to confirm that for me?
i can remember an interview from back in the day where a german talk show host asked her the same question and she said she mostly came up with the melody and lyrics and then goes from there with the producers (that was when she was talking about working with linda).
then there was an interview about how god is a dj was made. the music was already finished and she wrote the lyrics to it which made billy mann fall in love with her.
so, basically, i don't think we know exactly how it is for each song specifically. could be either way.
i always wished that she would write, compose and produce an entire song by herself. no producers, no other other people involved. just her. but she's all about collaborating, so not sure that will ever happen.
Eventually was only her iirc. Linda just played the piano.
I think nowadays she's just writing lyrics but with Rose Ave I can see her taking part in melodies as well.
yeah, i figure the violin melody of break the cycle was her idea. or at least that's what i got from that you+me interview.
and i love the story behind the m!ss songs. eventually is just so special! now THAT was team work. lately it really does seem that she's only buying demos. what a lazy susan
