That trailer was produced as a "character trailer" because they had very little visual effects done but Fox wanted to push the fact that the movie had the new cast and the old one which was the biggest selling factor of DOFP.
This trailer is being attached to Star Wars, the biggest franchise movie hype in decades. It'll have effects in scenes to get people talking. The stills from the leaked Spanish version shows that!
