Ciara has had cross over hits before, so what are you talking about? If you think she needs to immediately "go pop" to save her career then i would disagree heavily. The reason why Michael, Janet, Madonna, and Whitney were so successful is because they managed to walk the line of genres. And people, LSM was not a straight Pop song... it was clearly Urban Pop, which is not the same. Just because Justin Timberlake (self-identified R&B artist) was on the track doesn't make it automatically pop.
Justin stopped trying to call/promote himself an R&B artist after 2002.
Seriously can't believe how well she worked this. I love the rare moments when she slows down a performance and uses the traditional mic. She HAS to perform this @ the BET Awards.
