Actually, I just thought about it. When it's all said and done, Rihanna will still have one of the highest debuts of a Pop star in a movie. Whether Battleship flopped or not.

It's not flop as long as the movie earned MORE THAN its spending then there's profit. a 20 to 50 million dollar profit is not bad
compared to those movies which earned less than its budget
Exactly what I'll be saying to you when POM 3D flops
Which has nothing to do with what I was talking about. In any case, Part Of Me 3-D's budget wasn't high and she'll make a decent gross. Am not worried.

Forget Rihanna.
Can we focus on how Taylor Kitsch starred in two of the most hyped up, big budget movies of the year
And both flopped. Hard.
Poor, poor, poor Taylor Kitsch.
Poor guy.

The Avengers‘ good news spelled bad news for Battleship, which debuted to a dismal $9 million on Friday. That puts the board game-inspired action film on pace for a $26 weekend — a result that Universal clearly didn’t have in mind when it green-lighted the $209 million picture. By comparison, the year’s other big expensive flop, Disney’s John Carter, mustered a slightly better $30.2 million its first weekend. Both movies starred Taylor Kitsch, whose young career is getting off to an incredibly unfortunate start.
I don't think What To Expect When You're Expecting has more of a budget than 40 million. It's probably somewhere in the 30 million range. Almost four million on Friday alone isn't bad, it should do more than twelve million really.
