HBHBHB is kinda album of the year.

Because Lana did something with UV P!nk did with 'Try This'. She didn't seek the help of a mainstream producer and it was different and not like 'Born to Die' or 'Paradise' (though I love these albums). Psychedelic rock is something I can imagine P!nk to do so when you listen to UV you find these influences on tracks like 'West Coast' or 'Cruel World'. It's those certain sub-genres P!nk should dig further in. You+Me was a nice shift into the Folk excursion - I just wished she would also dare to cross musical styles as her own solo act. Lyrically & thematically it doesn't have to be a sad album (because that's not P!nk's current state of life) - it just has to fit her current mood.

When you say Florence + the Machine I think that's another good example.

i always lobbied that pink should work with the black keys (like, really for a decade now!) because i think that they would tickle out and help her dive deeper into her old school rocker blues soul... auerbach did wonders on ultraviolence and created timeless tunes! i just wished it was with pink because i just know he could help her get out that raw talent linda perry spoke of and that we only heard glimpses of. we all know shes a hell of a lot more talented than what she fed us for the last decade.

when she talked about going to nashville to record that selfish rock album back in 2010 i was incredibly happy! too bad she didnt follow through.

No wonder we haven't heard any album news yet. She is trying to find another producer after having read all the hate messages from fans against Greg Kurstin.

I don't see why she should not continue with her pop/rock sound. She can do all this quality stuff you want, when she gets older. I, too, want to see her in a more rock style, but I also want her to continue the big success from the TTAL era. She deserves to be more successful than she is.

^ hardly. she does what she/the label wants her to do without turning into a puppet. if she had listened to the fans, most of ttal wouldn't exist and we would have her nashville rock album.

also there are new registered songs with kurstin as producer, so... the "hate" fan mail didnt go through it seems.

There is no hate. Most of the fans love it, just check Twitter or any FB group - that's what she probably checks. It's only us, the old school fans that seems to hate this electropop sound which she's not even aware.

I know, I saw her tweets thanking for all the love she got for the Ellen song and I was wondering where on Earth she saw the nice comments, lol.

I personally don't mind Greg Kurstin tbh. I still don't get tired of Try and Blow me. He has made great Sia, Lily Allen, Charli XCX and other songs, but I am also aware of the potential failure, so I get that fans are upset. We'll have to wait and see and I doubt that the Ellen song is an indicator of what the new album is gonna be like.
I also wouldn't mind another song produced by Jeff Bhasker either. I loved her singing Girl on fire.

I'm pretty stoked for new collaborations. TTAL totally surprised me with the Lily Allen & Nate Ruess collabs. I didn't expect her to get along with these artists so well.

For the new album I want these artists so much:

Bruno Mars: It began with announcing her performance at the Grammys 2014. He quickly followed her on Twitter. I'm so hopeful for a collab between them. Either on his or on her album. I could see a #1 coming.

Macklemore: He wears fur but it's reportedly fake fur. So I dunno how P!nk would think about this. However I think his raps and her voice would go along well together.

Adele: This collab is a must. If not now maybe later. A slow, Dan Wilson penned duet can bring the magic and a sure-fire hit.

Beyoncé: Probably very unlikely but how great would it be to see the divas perform together? P!nk can do R&B, Beyoncé can do Rock. They once showed us their versatility in the Pepsi spot along with Britney. This could actually change people's mind that P!nk is on the same superstardom level as Beyoncé!

Sia: The possibility that Sia will have her hands on the new album is more than commonly. So why not have her featured? Sia's an incredible singer too and their voices would blend well together.

Hozier: I was totally flashed when I first heard 'Take me to Church'. And I thought about how he would hit P!nk's taste just like fun. caught her attention. Hozier can for sure sing better than Nate too. And P!nk can help the breakthrough artist from last year to come to newer heights.

Cher: After P!nk contributed 2 of her songs on Cher's album it would make sense that the two could get back together so why not in form of a duet? And Cher respects P!nk and is downright supporting her. The love is real!

Tegan & Sara: It can be a political song like 'Dear Mr. President'. It can be about same-sex marriage or homophobics or whatever is up their alley. Just anything that sparks interest. P!nk wouldn't say No I guess. Not after their rendition of 'Just like a pill' at the BB Woman Awards.

Stevie Nicks: A folk track in the style of You+Me but with a female voice would be incredible. After Cher Stevie is another legend P!nk should collaborate with while they're alive.

Dave Grohl: The Foo Fighters have always been one of my favorite rockbands and Dave seems to be as humorous as P!nk (there's some pic of them with Juliette Lewis years ago). The chemistry would be amazing.

i love the beyonce suggestion. they are so not in the same worlds, it seems, it would be cool to hear a song with the two of them (beyond the we will rock you commercial).
