But then I became a casual fan during TFM era because she was always putting on an amazing show and I found the music to be enjoyable. The 2010 MTV awards was the first one I ever watched and was blown away that she could have all the spotlight without having to even perform.
When BTW came out I became a full on stan not because of the music (which is great) but because of what she stood for. This was a woman who would dedicate her album to help others feel excepted and loved during a time when she had pop culture at it's knee's. She could have easily made something safe and generic that wouldn't cause her too much backlash and continue her unrelenting reign but instead decided to use the immense amount of power she had to create an album that gave voice against the injustices that are happening all over the world when it comes to intolerance and hate. I will always stan and respect this woman because she cared more for speaking out on something that is right than protect her career from any potential harm.
Sorry for the LM.com sized mess of a rant. I just get frustrated by all the undeserved hate she gets. Let me just go into my corner and be silent.

Pretty much sums up how I feel about her. LEGEND ICON, Bonnie Mckee Lady Gaga.

I think the reason why I listen to her so much is because my mom and I had ran away to a domestic abuse shelter and I remember we bought a radio with us. I'd hear Poker Face on the radio like all the time. When we got the chance we bought The Fame and listened to it over and over and over again. It was a rough time but her music was so fun, really helped me get through a rough patch.

Sorry to hear that sis. I hope everything is much better for you now.
From someone who deals with depression and addictions, having an album like Born This Way means a lot to me. It makes me feel genuinely happy and relaxed and proud to be me - and at the time I started using Born This Way - shortly after I came out and was dealing with some major deaths and sexual abuse. I felt like I was nothing. The Edge of Glory is one of the most beautiful songs in the world to me because of the message she gave to her fans. We'll all find that peak in life, that beautiful moment in our lives, even if it is just that glorious end.
Marry The Night is the perfect song for whenever I'm battling whatever I'm battling. It really lets out all of that negative energy and makes me just want to rage dance during the breakdown.

Marry The Night helps me through depression as well. I don't know how people don't find it unrelatable. It's so sad yet it always has the hopefulness that that things will get better that makes me feel better.

Not to worry. TechHaus is probably on here.. watching us to make sure we fulfill her desires. The wishes of the Goddess of Moderation are not wise to ignore.

wow glad you are at a different place now
I became a huge fan, very early, I already was part of various musicforums from 2007 and onwards. I heard some of her leaked demo's/songs and I became hooked, more or less first to Love Game and later also to Just Dance. Then her album came out in Canada and I played it like crazy. I even went so desperate, that when she was announched as support act to PCD, I tweeted her every day, and then she followed me on twitter in 2009
I also still was a big fan during TFM, but I also still was a big Rihanna fan at that time and I always was a big Nicole fan, so I turned to them for some time, now she (Rihanna) is not even in my favourite list anymore. During BTW, I decreased to a casual fan, not because I don't like the music, but it just happened. Nicole became my main favourite and I have been trying to create my trinity the last few years. This year It became full circle, with me stanning for my youth crush (Beyoncé), my overall favourite (Nicole) and the girl I lost in sight (Lady Gaga)
I now know that Gaga will stay in my favourite list, since I still have that feeling I had around 2008, when I first heard Love Game
I must say that Bad Kids helped me a lot. I always had a feeling that I could not dissapoint anyone, not my parents, not my teachers or professors. I became a mess, I lived for others, to fit the casual profile and not myself. So that song basically made me say F U, I am who I am

A bit. Not because of the song itself but because of what people say about the song. Believe it or not though Swine is probably one of my favorite songs on the album. Even though it's a very unpopular opinion on here.

Ah, you have a lot of favorites. Which isn't a bad thing at all, it's good to have variety. Have you actually ever been to one of her concerts?
