THIS. I know a lot of people who have nothing negative to say about Gaga, but aren't her fans because they are more into music in general than particular artists. I'll give an example. A good friend of mine has liked some of her previous stuff (PF, BR) and loathed some of it (Telephone, Alejandro). They loved BTW at first and hated Judas. After seeing the video, I received a text saying; "I now love Judas. The video is amazing. No-one makes music videos like she does."
Indeed, read the comments on this very forum. The majority of people disappointed with what Gaga does are her fans...
