I'm confused now, too. I was told by Propagaga that the deluxe counted towards both albums in the US because the deluxe contained both CDs and they did it that way to inflate TF's sales. However, it wasn't like that in other countries because they didn't split the deluxe into two albums. I think that's where the confusion comes from.
Oh well, the point is gone now.
too bad. If TFM is included in the deluxe version, it wouldn't be called as EP anymore.
Soundscan has it as TFM (EP) which simply mean it must be sold as an EP, not together with other album/CD.
if you follow BB 200 chart closely, you will realize TF surge on TFM release date while TFM debut at #8. Why TFM didn't debut on #1 ? because the sales was split into EP version and TF(M).
Have it being counted the way you mentioned, TFM would have been #1, but unfortunately it doesnt work that way.
if you think like that, you might as well think BTW the collection will be counted all towards BTW, BTW remix and TMB DVD sales.

One of her best unreleased. This and Second Time Around are the urbanGa I would like. They both sound quite dated, now, though.
That should do I think. BTW is more iconic and will have more impact in every aspect, in my perspective, just because this era was designed to be that. In some interview she compared this era to the Beatles 'Revolver' and how their fans LOATHED it. But now, it is their best album to date and is the best album of all time by many critics. It was just too ahead of their time. Born This Way will be the same, but as 'Revolver' it's just matter of time for people to realize it. And if she's pulling those numbers with BTW after being the 'it' grl (she isn't that anymore) and is on her own strut, I perceive it as amazing. Just my opinion though
