Because it would be front loaded, all the talk and the hype would be immediate instead of built.
Think about any new song. If EVERYONE you know heard it within a day of eachother you all will be like "Have you heard that new song? Ya? Its great. I love it" and leave it at that. It becomes old news within a few days. When it's built up slowly it has more time to take and get into people's heads. Like, "Have you heard that new song? No? Let me show it to you, it's great" and then that person passes it on, and on, and so forth because it's still worth mentioning. I think people like to discover things, rather than being presented it right in their face.
