Stronger sold 1.2 but had Q4 sales to support it. If she releases in early spring or something then I'm with jp.. I'll be happy with 500k.
Well actually Stronger was outside the top 20 Billboard 200 two weeks after it's release and sold only 264k apart from the first week sales. It re-entered the top 20 in the first week of January and stayed there for 14 weeks inside the top 20. The album sold 300k in Q1 which is amazing since album sales are then at it's low. So no the Q4 release has nothing to do with it. Stronger (the single) has everything to do with the album's success.

Ehhh. Promo played a huge part in her selling 300k in the first quarter. She had the Grammy's with a performance, along with the Super Bowl anthem and all the promo that comes with that. She won't have any of that this time around. The stars aligned perfectly for Stronger. The single helped a ton, but it was the promo and Q4 that sold that album.
AND to make this birthday even more special i get to celebrate it with the anniversary of Breakaway( i live in NZ soo im like one day ahead of y'all). Seeing as such i'll let one of yous make the celebration thread for it. I've been stanning ever since this record came out, and on reflection i've shared soo many memories with Kelly and the album and im so thankful!!
