I'm probably alone here but the Trouble/AWAWA/HCYNH was my fav part of the tour.
trouble was a great introductory song to this particular set (and a great song in general)! AWAWA is a favorite of mine on TTAL and i love how the guy in the DVD kissed her hand and she totally blushed. that was sooo cute! and i loved the video game animation during HCYNH!
there are better tour DVDs from her. i don't blame you. just save up for the good stuff.
I know, but I'm a collector for my faves and I like having everything. I've spent money on specific regional versions of albums before even if I didn't like the album that much. A mess.

sell those albums you don't like on ebay and then start chronologically. the try this tour DVD is a gem. from the DVD production-value it's so closely held to the energy of the tour (from editing, to sound...) believe me, i've been there. the behind the scenes feature is so much fun and encapsules her spirit so well... the things she says in it... <3 such a perfect human being!
Blow Me would sound weird acoustically. The one song I really want her to bring back is Stupid Girls. That's so much fun to dance to and it has still a strong message, more relevant than Dear Mr. President imo.

So, if you could choose the 1-2-3 punch from each tour what would it be? Which set is your favorite?
I don't know. "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" was the song that got me into P!nk, and it's lyrics are very ballad-esque, at least in the first verse. They remind me of something very personal I was going through at the time that I first heard the song that made me connect to it and love it even more. So, I'd still love to hear her do it with just her voice and an acoustic guitar. And I'm still holding out for a "Please Don't Leave Me" acoustic performance like "Who Knew." It would be AMAZING.
As for "Stupid Girls", I love the message and think she should perform it again, but the general public isn't here for it. It's kind of forgotten in comparison to her other singles, although she could always add it on to the Can't Take Me Home medley or something? It would fit in there, or right after.
As for the 1-2-3 punch, I can't choose for the Try This and I'm Not Dead Tours. It's too hard. For the Funhouse Tour, it's definitely "Sober"/"Bohemian Rhapsody"/"Funhouse." For the Funhouse Summer Carnival, I REALLY love "Just Like a Pill"/"Please Don't Leave Me"/"Sober", but I have to say that my favorite is "I Don't Believe You"/"Dear Mr. President"/"Mean." And for The Truth About Love Tour, it's really tough because everything from "Who Knew" through "So What" was FLAWLESS. I LOVED the acoustic set (the "Time After Time" cover made me cry), but I also loved the medley and "**** Like You", and then she ended it with two of my favorites, so that one is really tough.

oh no. the trapeze act was perfect for the funhouse tour. it was already weird enough that she did the same gita silk acrobatic (i know, i know, she did it for the new crowd, but i would have preferred only her and a piano).
and i agree with alrightsir: sober felt totally out of place.
To be honest, now that I think about it, you make a good point; the trapeze thing fit more with the theme of the tour. I wish that she would've done more with the whole game show theme that she had for The Truth About Love Tour. Has she ever done "Glitter in the Air" with just her and a piano? That would be AMAZING.

I feel your pain. I bought Adele's 21 seven times because I get every different edition. Even if it's as simple as two tracks being flipped in the track listing, I will buy the region-specific versions just so I have every edition of every album and single. I'm right there with you!

i think that was a problem with the TTAL tour--it didn't have much of a cohesive theme. it had bits and pieces of ideas here and there, but never connected or fleshed out.
with the TT tour she had her 3 albums broken down into 3 segments which was a lot of fun, IND didn't really have a theme and she didn't pretend to have one so it wasn't a mess, fh had, well fh... ttal had the problem that it felt more like a weird, unstructured greatest hits tour with a bit too much and yet too little going on.
nah she never performed gita stripped down, but it would be nice to hear it that way some day
an updated version of 18 wheeler would be great as well since it's one of my favorite songs!

Yeah, I mean... It was my favorite tour from her because it was my first concert and the only tour that I've seen her on, not to mention The Truth About Love is my favorite P!nk album, but the theme introduced at the beginning of the show was not carried out well. After the opening performance, it kind of died, which is a shame, because it was a cool idea.
The Funhouse Tour definitely had the best theme and was carried out the best. That is such an amazing tour. One thing that P!nk always does a great job with is her covers, regardless of the tour. The Funhouse Tour had so many amazing covers, especially "Bohemian Rhapsody", which is hard to perform in general, and also one of the most incredible and iconic songs ever, and she nailed it. I loved her covers of "Time After Time" and "Wicked Game" on The Truth About Love Tour. And even though this wasn't on a tour, her "Over the Rainbow" cover brought me to tears. Not to mention some of her older covers like "What's Up" and the Janis Joplin medley. God, that woman could sing the phone book and it would sound good!
Yeah, I do really want her to do a stripped down "Glitter in the Air" performance at some point because that would be AMAZING. I doubt she will, though. She's probably never going to perform it again unless she performs it on the American leg of her next tour or includes it in the setlist of a farewell concert tour if she decides to retire from music at some point, but even then, unless she's really old, she's probably going to do the acrobatic thing again.
Do you guys remember the messy intro from the first US leg? With her leaving the audience, then popping up in a random bar, having a really unfunny conversation before passing out, then Rubix appearing out of nowhere? Then being catapulted from the stage? To this day I couldn't put the concept together.

when she covered welcome to the jungle on tour i was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! yes!
i'm curious what covers she'll do next. she did killing me softly on a smaller scale, so it would be nice to hear it on her big shows.
i'd love if she did some alanis covers as i think those songs would suit her so well.
and i'd so love to hear her cover you really got a hold on me by smokey robinson and the miracles <3
I do really want her to do "Over the Rainbow" on tour because I would KILL to see her do it live, but at the same time, it was a great one-time thing and I don't know that she would want to ruin it by doing it live for her entire tour afterwards.
I'd love to see P!nk cover something by Billy Joel. I think she could just nail "Honesty" or something like that. I know she's a big fan of his, and it'd be cool to see her cover something of his.

That's funny cause I've also thought about her doing Over the Rainbow on the next tour. It was another iconic moment in her career that I think it would be a sweet moment for everyone, even if she just did a snippet of it.
And I'm waiting on her to cover Madonna. There are several early interviews of her saying how Madonna was a big influence. There's even a clip of her singing Oh Father as a child, no? And that funny clip of her doing the Like a Virgin routine on the floor?
