The lowdown: During the course of six minutes, Taylor paints an indelible picture of love at first sight. Alternately head-over-heels infatuated and terrified by lost opportunities, her searing vocal performance and sweeping arrangement create an experience at once awesomely gorgeous and subtly heart-wrenching. Reportedly inspired by Adam Young of Owl City, this is the ninth track on Speak Now (and the album's biggest blown opportunity for a major hit).
The vote: Will the knowledge that "Enchanted" led the countdown for much of voting appease the Swifties at all? After a nearly flawless run, during which it earned the most 10's in this rate and received only one score below a 6, two low marks (a 1.8 and a 2) in the final four ballots dropped it sharply out of contention.
Best line: "The lingering question kept me up/2 a.m., who do you love?"
The lowdown: This blissfully affirmative dance anthem features a hopeful Robyn telling a potential love interest that she's going to love him like she's never been hurt before. Co-written and produced by Klas Åhlund, it served as the lead single from the Body Talk compilation. Though it made no impact in the U.S., it did reach #4 in Sweden and was performed at the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
The vote: A surprise contender, "Indestructible" led the countdown at one point during the voting, due to a monster twenty-six 9's and 10's. Earning five votes in the 4-6 range, it fell short of the top by less than six points.
Best line: "And I never was smart with love/I let the bad ones in and the good ones go"
