Katherine's talk to Elena was full of win. I felt like they read the boards and really let her say everything we have annoyed about regarding Elena. Same with her Mom too.

Other highlights were Tyler's anger over his friend getting killed and Jeremy's glee over killing vampires.

I thought Elena and Stefan's breakup was the most adult breakup I have ever seen. But it also didn't make sense when you listened closely. If being a vampire magnified her feelings for Damon then why didn't they increase for Stefan? I think they would have been better off saying, as a vampire Elena identifies more with Damon, and as a human she meshes well with Stefan.

I'm more sure than ever that the map does not lead to a cure but will ultimately unleash that Silas character that the professor was talking about.

Could have to do with the fact that Damon made Elena forget several moments with her - from the first meeting, to admitting his love.

This season is THE best. The previous seasons were focused too much on the love triangle between Elena, Stephan and Damon and saving Elena's life. It got boring and annoying for three whole seasons. The fourth season has much more to it and is WAY more interesting.
