I've heard Trump say in two different interviews now that he was going to say something about Hillary, but decided not to as it would be "disgraceful" since her husband and daughter were in the audience.
And this debate required no higher knowledge overall. All he needed was short concise polices on the issues of day so he wouldn't ramble. If I was his prep person I would told read a piece of paper with them on it.
