Hmmm they are not mutually exclusive. This just shows that radio programmers don't always care about the songs iTunes position. If the radio crowd wasn't buying songs, labels wouldn't spend so much energy and money to push their singles on radio. And it's no secret that "radio friendly" songs do better in sales.
I think Neon Lights is just an anomaly.
There are many songs that come to mind that negate this
