Wow, I didn't know you guys didn't like
The Truth About Love as much as her other stuff! I guess, for me, at least, I didn't pay attention to her when I was younger really. "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" made me a fan because when it came out, I was having a bit of a rough time and my friend was like, "Have you heard P!nk's new song? It's really good!" and I listened to it and I loved it because it was a really fun song that I thought had some really deep lyrics behind it, and it was such a rare combination, and it was beautiful. And then I listened to her other stuff and went out and bought the album and I was just mesmerized. I never thought I'd do that. And then after saving up to go to a concert, I was planning on seeing Lady Gaga as my first concert and changed my mind and went and saw P!nk. One of the best decisions I ever made.
Anyways... I also didn't know you guys loved
Try This so much! I didn't like the rock influence as much. I see where you guys are coming from, though. As someone mentioned earlier (too many comments to reply to all of them), if I was an older fan, it probably would be different. But because I'm a newer fan, I think that contributes to my love of her newer stuff more than her older stuff. But I still love all of her albums.
As for Can't_M!ss_This's comment about the albums having the same structure, I do agree. It's worked for her, but regardless, I feel like as an artist, that's not necessarily a smart format to follow. And I know some of her older fans thought of her as a sellout because
The Truth About Love incorporated a lot of dance pop into it, but that being said, lyrically, it's still phenomenal. She writes her own lyrics, and then her co-writers write the music typically, correct? I've always loved that her lyrics are so authentic and real and brutally honest (I still love "you're an asshole, but I love you" because it cracks me up and reminds me of so many different people in my life). And musically, she's evolved, but just not in the way some of her older fans want, I guess.
And in conclusion (being that this is a really long post and NO ONE is going to want to read it), "I Don't Believe You" is one of the greatest things P!nk has ever done. How could anyone hate it?

It's so beautiful. I cried the first time I heard it.
Oh, and one more thing.... Can I just say that P!nk's bonus tracks are incredible and she has a lot that should be standard edition tracks? Honestly... I love most of her bonus tracks. What are you guys' favorite bonus tracks from her? I loved all of the ones from
The Truth About Love, especially "Is This Thing On?" and "Timebomb." And I also think "Heartbreaker" from
I'm Not Dead is incredible.
