The Super Bowl was fantastic guys! We should all be very happy with it. Of course every one of us were dreaming and thinking about it for months, so there is no way it could match every aspect that we planned and hoped for in our minds and still it was such a beautiful spectacle and 12 minutes of utter fierceness and beauty.
Let's remember too not to get too bothered by the criticism against it, and remain satisfied in knowing that the critics are as petty as they get? How do you pick on a near perfect performance? Trash the sets or say there wasn't enough of whatever you pick to say, or say it was cheesey, stuff that really speaks nothing to the actual performance. As always, there are very few if not NO other singers who could have done what she did, and the people still come in acting like they know someone who could have done it better.
And I couldn't be happier that the new single isn't out yet. I am nervous that we won't get any new album with this tour but as she said the new album would be out as early as April, and as she is really doing good business this era, I think she knows she'd maximize everything with a new album. Had she released a song at the Super Bowl, it would have been too much and people would quickly ingest it and forget about it because there is way too much media what with the actual game, her performance, and Destiny's Child. She's smart to be spoon feeding the media. Always hungry, always wanting more, but satisfied at every step of the way. I'm sure people are going to be more excited than ever for a new Beyonce track, which is something that the
4 era lacked. People of course were excited for it but it felt like mostly fans, whereas now with the Inauguration, the Superbowl etc, almost everywhere I look people are already hyping the tour. She's doing really smart stuff this era.
EDIT: I was so surprised after when I did a mental check of the setlist that there were no B'Day songs. I guess its okay because I didn't notice until I did a tally.
