Aki, Yuzu and Mai are my trinity.
Asuka lacked of more duels, but using Ritual Monsters was something awesome, so I'll give her that.
Rio was a character that I really liked, but was wasted. She had only 3 duels. Her duel against the Flower girl will remain in my Top 3 favorite Zexal duels.
Aki, Yuzu and Mai are amazing but I put Mai in 3rd because of her lack of wins. She was supposed to be a powerful duelist but we actually never got to see that. She only won twice on-screen. Against the Hollywood actor that nobody even remembers and against Jounouchi while possessed with the Seal. She needed more action.
I can't decide who's my #01 between Aki and Yuzu, because before Yuzu appeared Aki was my favorite. A tormented girl with mental issues and amazing design. But after episode 61 she basically became a cheerleader... I HATE Yoshida for that (the writer after the Dark Signers arc). He destroyed Aki.
Now Yuzu is the one that has made more things in merely 37 episodes that all the past (minus Aki) girls combined. Yuzu was actually considered for Protagonist instead of Yuya, but since Yu-Gi-Oh! is a Shonen anime, they couldn't go with that idea. That's why Yuzu has so many important roles in the anime, even more than Yuya so far.
TL;DR version: Yuzu = Aki > Mai > Asuka > Rio.
