LAN had as much impact as any of the choices for best hip hop video. They just picked some names out a hat and said, "here are the nominees".

When LAN came out "Wow! Amazing, artistic! Nicki's best video to date!"


Now that Nicki didn't get a VMA nomination "LAN is horrible! Nicki needs a bigger budget. Her videos are basic"

Like really? It's been established VMAs are about pop culture and pop music. It hasn't cared for urban in forever no matter how good the video is. Starships, one of Nicki's worst videos, won a VMA. That alone should have told you that LAN nor PNP were going to get nominations. It's all about success, not quality and who MTV can get to come and bring the ratings up.

Lemme tell y'all about the dream i had last night.

Ok, so first it was nothing but darkness. (I don't have dreams anymore, for some reason)
But then i woke up, so i went back to sleep. Then in my dream Nicki was on Ustream, & she was talking about NFZ saying she's on the remix & the freestyle was JUST a freestyle & she'll have a completely different verse when the remix drops. She then started avoiding questions about The Pinkprint. She also threatened to exit out the Ustream if we kept talking/asking about it. Then she started giving shoutouts/calling people.
The last 2 minutes she was talking about how hard she worked on the album, then she closed the Ustream saying "I love you guys so much, i really do. The reason why i wanted to Ustream is because i wanted to tell you guys that you're gonna love Bang Bang..... *sigh* & the album is coming in September."


It felt so real.

They never have tbh. The VMA's as a whole are a bit sketchy, especially with the fan voting and who actually receives the awards.

Well with a voting academy that is comprised of 150 experts from the recording entertainment industry like executives, bloggers and media entertainment specialists its easy to see why it is so consistent. BET does get trashed and it's extremely unfair.

It's amazing, but I never expected it to be nominated. I had some hope for PNP, maybe they thought it was great, but no.

But love the vma's when the truth is that they sign back door deals with nominees. If they nominate them (or even have them win) they have to show up.
