Platinum Hit 8 Reunion ∞ Closing Statement

Welcome for the very last time to the Platinum Hit 8 reunion show!

Ever since discovering Platinum Hit Season 5 back in 2014, I knew this game was special and unlike any other tournament on ATRL. I'd always wanted to write a song and had never been able to put pen to paper (metaphorically or literally speaking). Platinum Hit helped me achieve something I'd always wanted to do; write a song. From signing up in Season 6 until today I've learned so much and achieved things I never would have been able to without Platinum Hit. And that's why still to this day I know that Platinum Hit is special and unlike any other tournament on ATRL, because it changes lives; I know this for a fact, because it changed mine.

No matter what your Platinum Hit experience, everyone leaves this competition changed in some way. Thankfully more often than not, it's for the better.

On that note, I'd like to say one final congratulations to Season 8's victor, ClarksonSlays!



You've written some of the best songs PH has ever seen over the last two seasons and you'll only continue to dominate the game as a host and judge in the next one. Your 1-year ATRL+ is coming!

My time as a host of this wonderful game is done and I've enjoyed every minute of it; the good, the bad, the ugly, the messy, the beautiful and the inspiring. I'd like to thank all of the judges for committing to such an intense game for such a long period of time; you're all incredible and the game literally would not exist without you all. And of course thanks to each and every one of the 69 contestants who signed up, making Platinum Hit 8 the game with the most sign-ups in ATRL history.

So after 4 months, 13 rounds, 69 contestants, 254 total entries, 1251 pages and 25000 replies, it's time to say goodbye to Platinum Hit 8. This may be the end of a season, but it's certainly not the end of the Platinum Hit movement. Here's to a very successful Season 9!
