Collider Magazine asked Simon Kingberg (co-writer and producer of X-Men: Apocalypse and producer of Deadpool) about both films and he revealed these info:
Quote:
- It's confirmed the trailer of Apocalypse will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.
- Comics fans can expect “as much or more” references to things from the comics than any X-Men film that’s come before.
- The movie explores Mystique's struggle after the events at the end of DOFP. This movie certainly explores 10 years later what it is to wear the mantle of that responsibility.
- The fact that Magneto is Quicksilver's dad is a part of the film and it’s a really emotional, really important part of the movie.
- Deadpool takes place in the present, but it acknowledges everything that’s happened in First Class, DOFP and Apocalypse. Colossus is in it and other characters from the X-Men world.
I think perhaps this is part of the deal that Fox made when Lucasfilm sold Disney the rights to Star Wars. It's so clever to attach the first trailer so something so huge... I hope that means it's a full-effects trailer and not just a character trailer like the first DOFP one we got in October 2013.
Omg, how much are they packing in this movie lol? The thing sounds 4 hours long.
Mystique is in America with Charles and the X-Men in this AFAIK. Her struggle may be with the fame she experiences after becoming an American hero for saving Nixon/the US senators. Eric is in Poland or somewhere in Eastern Europe hiding and trying to live a normal life after nearly killing the President and then Storm, Angel and Psylocke are presumably not related to the X-Men as a team at all and are in their home countries/cities when Apocalypse rocks up to make them horsemen.
Oh god please don’t spend too much time on mystique if it’s not hugh it’s Jennifer. Regardless I’m stoked! and glad it’s airing with such a big named movie

I don't think she'll be prominently featured in this film, at least I hope.
If you want X-Men to expand their universe then I think we should support all the related mutant films. There's Colossus and maybe other X-Men in Deadpool, why not Gambit
