For all the money CW spends on promoting Gossip Girl, it should be getting higher ratings than The Vampire Diaries. I still think GG is safe for now, but if it doesn't grow back up to the 2.5 million mark, it certainly won't last longer than a 13 episodes 4th season - IF much. Btw, is it even confirmed to have a full 3rd season?

Yeah it has a full season pick up. not sure of the actual number. My guess would be 24 episodes since they started their season earlier than the other networks.

i'm really worried. but i don't think they will cancel it this soon, they have a huge fan base worldwide. and even tho the show is getting low ratings, it's still getting buzz, i think.
The worldwide fanbase, however, means nothing. The O.C. had a way bigger fanbase than GG does now worldwide and Fox still cancelled it in 2007.
But yes, the buzz is still there, apparently the VCR - is that how it's called? - numbers seem to be good... But I'm thinking enough is enough, aka there is a limit.
