I was super excited to listen to this after the year end placements and glowing reviews. I guess what everyone's raving about is how cohesive it is, because while I'm not hearing any INCREDIBLE music I am hearing a very cohesive album with a solid identity.

I do like the album but on a track by track basis it isn't as strong as some other pop albums that came out this year (My Everything, In The Lonely Hour, 1000 Forms of Fear, Sheezus, etc.)

I was okay with this assertion until you said Sheezus was an amazing pop album.

I certainly didn't say Sheezus was an "amazing pop album".

I made the distinction that track by track, Sucker isn't as strong as Sheezus, which I stand by. I think Lily has stronger tracks than Charli overall, although Charli's album is more cohesive.

I would go but i have no friends that would be interested in going all the way to NYC with me just for some artist that they probably dont know about. Plus I have school

But tbh I wasnt a big fan of Charli in her debut, so if a new artist I like, like Mø started to go a lot more pop then id be a little upset too (as I was with the Iggy collab)

I liked True Romance before Sucker and still love both directions. If she decided to stick to True Romance style people would probably complain she is not exploring new sounds and getting stuck in the same and if she does something new there is the risk of winning and losing audience. This does not only applies to Charli XCX but I like to see some artists experiment with their craft rather than go stale regurgitating the same album over and over.
