It's not versatile, but it really doesn't need to be, because it's so effective. You really just came and kind of schooled this new season and proved me wrong for not putting you on my "yes" list. I hope you can keep it up.

Honestly, for the most part, you cannot go wrong with Rihanna as a gif. She provides such gifable moments it’s disgusting. Her playful attitude just provides such great gifs. This is no exception. If it wasn’t obvious, I really like this gif. In all it works. I see the potential of it doing really well and people using it. I will say your examples were a bit hit and miss, as in for some it just didn’t quite go well with each other. It does really come up as a one dimensional gif; being used as putting one in someone’s place (also in a bit of a clocking aspect). I do have to question though, what up with the RockStarShit101 lastfm promotion? That example was used twice.

Secondly, I'm curious to know if the other judges + contestants would perceive the Rihanna choice as a sort of cop out given how it's considered the easy route when using an established pop girl or gif figure for this challenge.
In regards to the examples: I think this works better accompanying a swift direct clock or serving some facts and not so much slick shade or something random as Rih definitely looks like she's giving the former and not not trying to be sly about it. e.g. this > this.

I just didn't understand what it was trying to do or what was even going on. But I think it was smart of you to get people posting it, the more I saw it in the thread, the more I kind of understood why people were using it and what it signifies. I don't think it effectively serves its purpose as maybe some other gifs which mean the same thing, but it's a cute start to the game.

However, when I actually fully read your entry, it all made sense. Based on your post, people are starting to actually use this gif, especially judge EmRi. So that must mean you are his number one. I did read the people’s use of your gif first and it still left me a little confused on how this is being used. Like I see the potential and why, but don’t understand how it’s being used. Yeah, that is my brain right now; mind ****. What really sold me were your three photoshopped examples. It showed personality and, to me, brought the gif more alive than it actually being used by members. For that it works and I like it.

I loved the compact entry serving us with actual examples, though, and the cute three faux ones. The gif also signifies a reaction I don't believe to be in gif form much. It's like an alternate version of this.

While Umich’s seemed to be a little slow and had a lot of dead space between the action; yours is just dead. Like I can understand the dilemma that is going to be raised after reading that. “How can my gif be dead when you just said it works and ATRLers will use it?” I’m not denying it after agreeing with it; what I’m really trying to say it is lacking something. It’s literally of Eddie Murphy there with him doing a half eye roll and reversed to do it all over again. There is an ever slight head movement, but it’s basically the eyes that do the talking; the point of the gif. I just think there needed to be another element. For example, maybe after the initial eye roll his head does like head shake no. Just something else. I don’t know where that clip is from, so I don’t know if it was possible. I just wish there was something else than it just being the way it is.

In in another dilemma. I see the potential and actually quite like the gif. At my first glances I didn’t really care for it, but for the next glance and actually reading the entry; I like it a lot more. I’ve already said this in a few other people’s comments, but if I have troubles seeing the potential on the gif itself; I then look at the examples to help. Your examples were a hit and miss. For some it worked, but with others I saw a disconnect. Like the gif has too much sass and shade elements, that using it for a ‘nice to meet you’ text just doesn’t work. Well, unless you are saying it in a shady way. It fits more with the I’m Listening/Enlighten Me Then type posts with a shady/sassy undertone. That would make it perfect.

Anyway the gif is fine, kind of boring, but it works.

Here’s my thing though, and I know I’ve said something that would counteract this comment in one of my comments to someone else, it’s too similar/we already have those gifs as hits. I know there are a lot of hit gifs that relay the same message and are practically the same, but I just feel like this gif doesn’t have much of something special unlike those other three you mentioned to stand out from the rest. Do I like the gif? Yes. Do I think ATRL will use it? Yes. I just don’t know about it being a big hit with the three you mentioned that are in the same realm as it.

Well, at least somebody went for something a little risky. I was honestly confused what it was at first. I kind of chucked the first time I saw it in the thread but it loses it's magic after you've seen it multiple times. I think you should have cut the gif after she opened it, the part where she tries to grab it is kind of long and ruins it. You almost had a great gif.

When I first saw the gif I was like this could be the perfect subtle ‘**** You’ and/or ‘Having difficulties with my ****s to give’ kind of gif. We rarely have those kind of gifs. I am sometimes all for having a gif do dual purpose and can work for any kind of post, for this though I think it should only be used for the ‘**** You’ kind of subtle posts. In my opinion, if you edit out the part of Martha trying to pry out the middle finger whatchamacallit, it would be a much better gif that fits. The post examples you provided were really a hit and miss for me. It made sense on some, but others I just didn’t get it. I see the potential, I see people using it, and I like it – with some moderation.

Definitely unique and I like that you took a different approach with this challenge, but I'm wary of it not catching on. This one really stuck out to me, . I see it's main use would be as a veiled and very sardonic '**** you'.

Now after reading the full entry, it’s still one of the gifs I like the most out of the entries provided. Is a particular gif that I would use? No. It is a gif that I can see ATRL using. It fits with that shocking exposed expression, but it can also fit with all the thirsty daddy issued members that are on this forum. Like if ATRLers would use this gif more often in the threads of all the halfnaked men instead of posting vulgar posts, it would save them points and make myself feel better of having to enter those threads.

No but really, this gives me a slight *insert 80s teen sitcom gif that I can't remember/Rihinvention's avatar* tea. It's usable, but I can see this becoming more distinct Ms. Juicy were available for more gifable moments.

Thanks for the comments
Sorry for the way I sent my entry, basicness and mistakes included, but it was a bit rushed cause, most of the little time I got, I spent it searching for the right moment to gif and, since this video wasn't on YT, I also had to research and download a program to rip it off from abcnews.com.

It's right before the second minute. Anyway, I cut it off like that cause Rih was joking so, if I would've kept what happened next in the gif, its whole sassy use would've been annihilated.
Also, sorry for having used the same post twice in the example. I didn't notice. I definitely was supposed to use the one Kitt linked, or if I used that, it was another one, but I didn't do it on purpose.

I'm pleased with all of my comments (except for H-I-M's)! Glad all the judges took note of the way it was being used in this thread and around the site, and took that into consideration.
Also, I'm glad that Matty enjoyed my Photohopped examples.
