New fans who enjoyed RED got drawn in bc of IKYWT and maybe WANEGBT. Those songs are in the same vein as katy perry and britney and though they didnt debut to alot 1st week, atleast 50k is guaranteed from new fans.
+ IKYWT is 4x platinum and WANEGBT is over 3x

The "country" fans that hate Lord most are the Luke stans, although they are all like teenage girls that don't know anything about country music.

One of my older brothers loves country and likes Lord. Hopefully it's mostly like that

Red got her a lot of new fans and the AOTY nod got her some new listeners too.. I saw a former teacher a few days ago who's in his twenties and he said he listened to Red and admitted it actually is a really good album. Pretty certain that this album got her more male listeners

Basically Red brought some male fans, but she lost some teen girls. If you look that way, then you should be optimistic about LP5. However, there's also one other group to consider people who were not fans of Taylor but still bought her previous albums ('I don't like her but she has really good songs' type of people). We don't know how many of them did buy Taylor's previous albums, and how many of them were affected by Taylor backlash in Red era. I'm worried about them, i think she definitely needs to change GP's opinion about herself, she started doing so, but definitely not enough.

There may be a Country Backlash, but I think it is from those who have never liked Taylor Swift to begin with. You know, the true "Honky Tonk" kinds. But, then again, there is probably a lot of Country-Rock fans that would be happy to listen to both pop and country coming from Taylor and I think that she's going to retain these fans. A lot of people like both Country and Pop genres, so they are happy either way. Then added to this is the fact that Taylor is trying quite a lot of new sounds, so you will get a greater audience from different genres. And some may have never listened to Taylor before, but because they know she's a genius, will go out and buy LP5 anyway just to give it a listen. All this can only be good for sales.
