Considering there were over 100 applicants, I find it pretty funny that everyone has come up with 3-4 users they are positive are the new mods (not to say that I don't support those users, I think most of the frequently named ones would make great mods).

I knew it would be tonight. I calculated the timeframe between when the last hiring thread was made and when they were roughly announced. According to that, the mods would be at least contacted tomorrow, but considering the lack of the need for another round, I estimated it'd be finalized tonight and then most likely revealed tomorrow.
No! Perhaps, we'll have an announcement at the mid-way through next week. We still have a process to follow. It just depends on how fast all mods submit their Top 3, the final weigh in from administrators, the formal offer to the finalists, the acceptance of the offer, and then the announcement.
(not to say that I don't support those users, I think most of the frequently named ones would make great mods).
