The girls are very aware their faves can't outsell in this day and age 1D, unless they're fave is Taylor Swift. Their coping mechanism is that boybands don't last for too long but I have faith the UK will never disown them They've been loyal to Spice Girls and Take That.
That would be so great if the UK always had 1D's back.
One Direction realised that Taylor was the only girl outselling them and so they sent out Harry - the deadly jenga block in the huge stack of potential boyfriends - to go for the other approach and let Taylor's own antics sabotage her integrity and are now watching her credibility crumble.
What are you talking about? I make sure to rate that album highly because her stans are too lazy to do it themselves (I was about to take that one step further but I'll stop here. )

One Direction just hit 4,000 plays on my last.fm.
The lies. ()
They passed 1,000 plays on my last.fm a week ago. Comin' for Selena's wig.

No wonder they're doing 34 dates in the UK + Ireland. Although the venues are medium sized they should start working on building a concert crowd there. Take That's Progress Live tour in 2011 grossed $185 million out of, hear this, 35 dates, most of them in the UK. Of course they are legends in the UK and Robbie Williams is Robbie Williams but you never know

There is no way that is even real.
Of course that is more than super impressive but really? I believe you, just shocked.
I agree, the potential the guys have is sky-high. One of the guys will become a superstar (Harry most likely) and the guys will continue breaking records and make millions. These next few years in particular are going to be so interesting.

I'd say that since they're the second boyband/girlgroup from the UK to go global after the Spice Girls I could see each one of them trying something on their own eventually, of course some might achieve more than others. Geri and Victoria were the ones who went somewhere after the split, and to this day we could say only Victoria is relevant.

Harry will be the Robbie/JT of the group.
Zayn will go in a more urban direction but be "local" to the UK.
Niall will try to go the acoustic route a la Ed Sheeran.
Louis will be the host on X-Factor UK.
I have no idea what Liam is going to do. No idea at all.
Niall could have potential as a new Ed Sheeran tbh. He has the advantage of being good looking.
As long as they keep making music - as a group or solo - I don't mind. Once the music stops, that's when I'll worry. BUT we still have three years before we have to worry about them splitting up or continuing the band or whatever.
Ed needs to take N under his wing and teach him a few things first.
Then I'll be eagerly awaiting the Grammy performance of King Ed + N.
