Kelly has hold off a Michael Jackson tribute by Glee and the lead single that was performed at the superbowl by the Queen of Pop from #1.

I'm not worried about the next Glee or smash songs lol. And even if they managed to go #1 they won't stay long.

Though I remember MKIA (single) was getting close to the top 20, then it was removed, and a few hours later the album version climbed into the top 10...

YESSSSSSSSSS KELLY. That was the most amazing timing ever. Seriously though, even though Madonna has to climb again, she can do it fast. Kelly had this happen to her as well if i remember correctly.. and that's why even today there's two versions of Stronger charting. It's unreal that Kelly was able to hold Madonna off from that #1 spot after her Super Bowl performance and all the promo it's received today from it. Kelly's getting this #1 next week for sure if she doesn't get it this week.

I think it's too late for Madonna (re: BB hot 100). She may get #1 on itunes, but she had to reach it on Monday and stay there for a while with a decent lead to make up for the huge hit it's about to take AI-wise.

Kelly now has a 95% chance of getting the BB100 #1 next week. The only small threat is if Adele starts increasing out of nowhere up to 80-85% (and I don't see that happening).

I don't like Kelly's song. A bunch of bland clichéd popular idioms (what doesn't kill you stronger; makes you a fighter; stand a little taller) stitched together into a song that sounds like Xtina's Fighter without the bite. But it's better than GMAYL even though I prefer Madonna as an artist.

It's funny though, who would have thought Kelly Clarkson would be able to hold off the biggest launch for a 1st single I've ever seen: assistance from the go-to collab girl Nicki Minaj. Assistance from hot-off-her-new-single indie girl MIA. Months of highly-publicized Gaga disses. A video premiere on Idol. Song premiere the next day on iTunes with 3 banners and video release. Power rotation Clear Channel deal. Billboards, bus ads, mall ads. Superbowl performance for 150M people. All of this between Thursday and Sunday. Insane.

Well, first we need to see what actually happened with MDNA, if it was intended or just a glitch.
