Pop adds just updated again - Dark Side has 6 now, including one big add in Seattle which is ranked #13!! This is great considering we only got ONE last week. We won't be seeing large quantities of stations adding the song since her adds day is long gone and that's when the majority will add. But 6 is good!! Hopefully this helps the spins keep increasing this week. Slow and steady.

I love MD and I think we can all agree that the music on there is great and emotional. This is why I love Kellz. Buuutt it did set her back quite a bit in regards to pop success. To this day, that era is why people always think she's making a comeback. It's a great album though. Can I have a kiss, Chivas, Maybe and Sober are amaaazing.
AIEW is a very underrated pop album. It DID get her a lot of attention after MD fiasco though. MLWSWY was/is a smash commercially. She really did experiment quite a bit on it too. It was mismanaged which is why it didn't 'perform" as well. Ready, Save you, IICHY and Cry are flawless. IDNHU should not have been a single and AG should not have been the third single.
Stronger's singles have the potential to be the best set of singles since BA which could make it a classic album. There are a handful of songs I would have left of the album, but i think they are getting the singles right this time around. WDKY is her most successful single. DS is simply an absolutely amazing song. Even if you're sick of it now, you know you were obsessed with it when it leaked.
Each album brought something different to the table. All necessary.
That's all.
I could not have made a better argument. Well done.
I can't at people actually liking "Ready"... I hated the demo, hated the final product and still can't stand it. The lyrics are fine, but the melody and the production of it...
I'm just saying that if you're gonna stan for an artist, you have to be supportive and have a lot of positive energy, of course constructive criticism is allowed, but you can't call a song a flop when we see it slowly climb the charts.....the way all good singles usually do.

It's so carefree and summery I love it
I try not to pay attention to the lyrics too much because they're a little darker then the song's production, but its definitely one of my fav Kelly songs ever
Agree. Considering the amount of money thrown into promo, producers and song writers, it was her most least successful commercial album.
My December didn't have label support, they were very little money spent vs. All I Ever Wanted. Combine that with the lack of radio support (ie no payola), scaled down tour and lack of sales, AIEW holds that title.
Now, if we want to talk about Kelly's least successful album period, that would be My December.
The fact is people weren't here for sugary-sweet Kelly. It wasn't legit and while many may not have bought/supported MD, they knew the image she was portraying throughout the AIEW era was not genuine. She was an artist who had been publicly humiliated by her label bosses (rightfully so tbh) and was now going to give them everything they wanted (no pun intended).
AIEW was an era filled with unnecessary controversy, too much of a reliance on Katy Perry sounding tracks and stripped Kelly of the identity she once had. Thankfully with Stronger (and new label bosses), Kelly was a humble student of the game who was able to mesh what her label wanted and what she wanted to put into an album....something her arrogance would not allow her to do during the creation of My December.
great argument
BTW, I created an "album" of unreleased KC songs. I called it "Love in These Eyes: Unreleased"
Kelly's not the only one that forgets her lyrics though. The other flawless queen, P!nk, was singing at a radio lounge in Boston today and midway through her performance she started to forget the lyrics. Bitch whipped out her iPhone, whilst still singing, and looked up the lyrics and sang them off her screen
