Free K-Pop Mega Concert Coming to L.A. Featuring 2PM, Sistar, SHINee & More
In recent years, K-pop acts have made America an important tour stop, but it's rare for U.S. fans to see a slew of Korean acts all perform together -- much less, for free.
But the infamously-passionate fans were given a specal treat with the announcement of "Open Concert (L.A. K-Pop Festival)," a free K-pop mega concert featuring a slew of Korean idol and veteran acts set to perform at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Boy bands SHINee and 2PM will perform, as will girl groups SISTAR and Girl's Day. Rock-pop outfit CNBLUE and veteran hip-hop act Dynamic Duo are also on board, along with solo singers Kim Taewoo, Sul Woondo and Song Sohee. Some reports indicate that more acts will be announced.
The festival is a combined production of U.S.-based Korean TV network KBS America and the Los Angeles Korean Association, said to celebrate the 111th anniversary of Koreans immigrating to America.
Festivities starts at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on April 12 at 11 a.m. with different events put on by the Association. No word on how tickets will obtained yet.
