Alrighty just figured it out. If you're using a non–Flash-compatible video file, you need to convert it to FLV format for it to work. Since you got Flash for $FREE.99, you probably don't have Adobe Media Encoder

And don't just open the video, go to file>>>import>>>import video
And after you select the clip you want to use (*in FLV format), choose Embed FLV in SWF and Play in Timeline. After that just have the symbol type be Embedded Video.
