The album was suppose to be one of her best albums. She was working with all these urban producers and the album was heading in the direction she wanted it to head. Couple of months before everything was said and done Jive took over the project and put Dr. Luke in charge. Jive wanted to make a little more money from Britney before she transferred to RCA. Little did they know the joke would be on them. Britney's least successful era. This is why Britney has so much control this era.
Wasn't she going for an EDM and Rock sound? She worked with that Rusko and Darkchild before Dr. Luke. Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild) was bumped to the deluxe edition as a bonus track and he was pissed. I could have sworn it was said she was going for a more rock direction.
If this single is anything like Gimme More, as the name suggests, I'll be gladly satisfied. I just hope she doesn't disappoint with the choreography, even though it's likely to happen. GM was my jam and its sound is still pretty current.

I knew I was right. That is why "He About to Lose Me" ended up being a bonus. **** Jive.

She's been rehearsing a lot, she will not disappoint us. Stay positive.

Gimme More has actually grown on me a LOT over the years. It's timeless.

It was honestly a mix of both. I just remember more of the urban part than the EDM/Rock part.

So she's been waiting to release that urban influenced album for a long time. I could imagine "Femme Fatale" with an urban direction. It would have smashed.

Yes, she's been waiting for a while. Blackout is very urban. Hell, In the Zone even has some urban beats.

I was so positive with Blackout, then with Circus, then with Femme Fatale
now I'll only believe when I see it even though she does manage to get me a little excited with those tweets.

We all know what she was going through during Blackout. And Jive ****ed up Femme Fatale. Wait and see, Britney is coming.
