I can't believe it's happening, if they had have chosen Angelo mio or Quando ritornerai, would they have done as well? Il vento will probably smash his previous singles.

I dunno if it will smash, nor does it really matter, the album has already sold amazingly. I'm just so happy more people will be exposed to TZN's best song 
I'll kill him though if he sings this on tour but skips it on the non-Italian dates

I doubt he would skip it on the non-Italian dates, sure the setlist would be the same for all shows would it not?

Sometimes local artists make their setlist a bit more international (or shorter) when going abroad. Eros for example had a slightly different setlist for his Swiss dates.
But yeah I hope it's the same for all dates.

Would Il vento have fitted on Rosso Relativo, in terms of continuity and subject matter? I definitely don't think it would have, it would have been awkward, it's better on TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro as a new single rather than having never been released on RR

Well we don't know what the song sounded like back then, different production, immature voice... I'd gladly replace Soul-dier with it. But yeah it's for the best that he shelved it for so long, his voice now is perfect for it.

I edited the Wikipedia page for TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro and put Il vento as the 4th single but I put the release date as 9th of October, should I change it, that's only when the radio decides to start playing it?

Yeah the radio release date is fine, that's what's usually used for non-lead singles.

I'm just looking at the tracklist for TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro and out of 61 songs, he wrote 54 of them, that's crazy, I love when artists write their own songs, it makes an album more personal.

Let's hope that he gets to Diamond certification, it should happen as TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro has nearly sold as much as L'amore è una cosa semplice
Why is it that the only two albums in the whole of Italy that have reached 8x Platinum are Adele's 21 and Tiziano's L'amore è una cosa semplice?

Nah it's not gonna sell another 200k. The market has declined too much. It would be amazing if he could reach Ligabue's Mondovisione, then I could remove it from this list of albums that have not been outsold by anything that was released after them.

Certifications in Italy were a bit weird before 2009, they gave diamond awards even to 300k selling albums, which really wasn't that much.

Reaching Mondovisione would mean 7x platinum. I think he'd definitely get there if there was no live album, but I'm pretty sure there will be, so that's gonna overshadow TZN this Christmas period.
But I'm not about to complain about that
