Why would she tho? Rihanna effortlessly gets hits literally just by sending her vocals via WhatsApp while vacationing in Barbados. My fave could never.

It's fine to feel free about your artistic vision and all, but you still have to sell records, especially when your record label is investing so heavily to promote your material. That's why I said balance is the key. It's not impossible to make a record that accomplishes your vision and at the same time be commercial enough to be enjoyed by the masses.
