I feel like Kesha's label holds her back a bit.

And YES, My Hearts On Fire, anyone?
Perfect mix of Country and Electro pop.

Oooh I see, that old quote. Who knows if she even still thinks this way. I believe that actually becoming involved in the business and meeting and being together with everyone who's part of it can quickly change ignorant prejudices on other artists and producers etc. Maybe Marina would be down for collabing with polarizing pop artists by now?
Also, Heart's On Fire is PERFECTION. Its chorus and the bridge are EPIC. I'd die if it became part of a record, but most likely it won't because it's stone old.

I love Heart's on Fire, I want more country-influences like that. Do y'all think the general public would be here for that kind of sound?
Could Heart's on Fire 2.0 be the next TiK-ToK?

I don't think she'll ever be able to recreate TiK ToK's success.

TiK ToK is so not her best song. I'm happy she had such a huge hit, but I'm so pressed that that is the song everyone knows her for. She needs a new signature song.

Are there any other demos for the new album? I haven't heard any at all, flop stan

Heart's on Fire is old, it isn't a demo for the new album.
As far as I know, none have leaked. Not even a snippet.

It doesn't suit Cannibal, really. But I still love it.
Kesha used to sing MHOF to her friends on the guitar. (One of her old friends told me)

If it's due out this year hopefully we should get some snippets before summer. I'm hoping for a summer album release, so she can be 2012's summer anthem
|
At this point I want her to follow an early Teenage Dream type release schedule in terms of timing.
May - Lead single, summer anthem, guaranteed smash, etc
Late July - Second single, build hype for the album, something new and amazing, party anthem for back-to-school
Mid-Auguest - Album released
That's realistic, right?

In Summer, she'll already be 3 years into her career. Will this be her award winning era?

I think this era will define her as an artist; she implied she wants to be an 'icon', right?
Well, to be an 'icon', you usually have to have a $100M+ grossing tour, Grammy/Awards, Critical Acclaim, Album sales, stage presence, 'grow' as an artist and also impact Pop Culture some-way.
I don't know if Ke$ha can get all that.

Ke$ha is probably this decade's Pink (who said that a few pages back?). Fantastic, but never quite on the level of stardom of her peers.
This era is really make or break for any potential idol status.
I definitely think Ke$ha is one of those artists that the critics will appreciate more in retrospect than they do while she's active though.

Honestly I think that with Ke$ha, the thing she has to do is keep making music and stay relevant until critics and the industry realize she is more than Tik Tok and glitter and whiskey (even though those are all great things lol). Comparisons to P!nk make sense to me as well...
She only needs promotion to stay on it, that's all. And ofc she has to deliver musically, but I don't doubt that she will.

LOL who knows. Maybe if Kesha releases a GOOD quality innovative album she could have Grammy noms for 2013?

PS.: The thing with P!nk imo however is that, musically, she hasn't done anything new or innovative for years now. That might be why she's usually overlooked. I like her, but she grew kinda stale.

Mte with that P!nk post I just wrote. Ke$ha has to keep making innovative quality music, then she'll be fine.
