I have faith!!! I think Jan. 7th is legit. It was in Entertainment Weekly and confirmed by a z100 (part of the largest radio conglomerate in the United State) program director.

If we don't get a press release on Monday, then that will douse my belief in the 1/7 rumor --but I think it's true. There isn't much time left for them to be playing around - March is right around the corner the release and single HAS to be soon.

Sometimes Z100 / EW are wrong. They had confirmed Cheers as Rihanna's 1st single, and that changed. And by wrong I mean that plans sometimes change after the issue goes to print.

I dont think they confirmed Cheers, they said there was a new rihanna song called cheers for LOUD (they never said single) and the rih stans went crazy about the news. Could be wrong though

EW wrote the exact same thing for Cheers as they do for HIAM. The Z100 program director said Cheers was a return to fun, happy Rihanna and they couldn't wait to play it. And then a couple weeks later, along came OG.

But most likely that was an exception - usually what EW says sticks.
