Chelsea will probably be an Ambassador or something. A control of a government department might serve Kennedy well in terms of his presidential ambitions. At least better than being a Representative would.

This is a problem I have with his campaign. It's all about rhetoric. Young people have a problem understanding what levels of government are responsible for what and he plays into that. Which is why we say his campaign is all about dreams.

Yes because the federal government has never helped out a state when it was in need. Did Louisiana handle Katrina all on its own?

Are you really trying to say there's nothing the federal government can do for Flint?

I do wonder how things would've played out for Rob had he not be assassinated. Jackie did the right thing taking her children out of the country since they were "shooting Kennedys" as she put it. When Jr. died in '99 from the plane crash, my folks were sad and they didn't even know why. Something endearing about them and their rich family history I guess. Or maybe it's because his death was 2 years following Diana's tragic passing and that death weighed heavily on everyone around the world.

I've always felt like Cabinet positions are for the old people who don't have presidential ambitions. Hillary was an exception to that obviously, but I just don't see the benefit of it. I don't understand why Castro took the Cabinet position, either. Presidential runs are still mainly for Senators and governors for some reason (and reality TV stars, can't forget). Kennedy will want to be Senator once Warren's seat opens up

A state of emergency caused by a natural disaster is a completely different situation from the crisis in Flint (albeit a bad one). The federal government SHOULD get involved when the state does NOT have the necessary funds. In this situation, it's a matter of a failed state not helping its people as opposed to not having the money to.

I'm all for helping people but each state has their own taxes that they charge and that should be the first resource utilized.
