"Modern twang", that's actually a really good description of the songs on the album. You especially see this in songs like Dirty Laundry where it's a Reba shoutout with lines like "you know I don't drink red", but also a very contemporary song using popular effects. A perfect mix, if you will.

i like the melody but its a little bland
also the lyrics "always hanging on the wall no it dont care at all" is pretty bad and it bugs me

It is probably too soon to be thinking about #CU6, but I would love for her to work with Max Martin and Shellback again, even if it was just for one or two songs. "Quitter" is a discography highlight.

She has worked with Max, Shellback, Jack Antonoff (from Fun.), and Ryan Tedder.

I would love to see her work with Bonnie McKee, Benny Blanco, and Rami Yacoub/Carl Falk/Savan Koetcha.

Anyway, I agree with some others that BA has more highlights and higher highs, but lower lows than Storyteller. Storyteller is a far more consistent album imo, but less standout moments. Love both so much. Carrie is just

Yikes. I haven't really had time to figure that one out, but you are absolutely right

I love the "burned from a band of gold" line, but then again, there's really nothing that special about it. It's a good lyric in the context as a whole, but, as a single phrase, it's nothing special. CDS is definitely one of the worst best songs on the album. Funny how I can't even say it's one of the worst, because, it actually is a really good song still
