Of course you give up your 'normal' life for your OWN dream. You dont think im gonna be a singer to have fans or whatever. Thats what comes with being a star. I personally dont think he will fade as fast as people think. Its up to him, if he continues to do better music his fans will stay and we all know how let me say obsessed his Beliebers are with him. Back to the DMS those are real, he dmed bunch of people yesterday. Maybe the trend 'justin is desperate' made him mad which is kinda understandable.

He started singing when was 11, if I'm not mistaken. But the natural talent for music came way before, when he was just a toddler.

He did say he was giving up his normal life in the movie. The whole point of the movie was that, chasing your dreams, even though they do come with a price - you'll never be 'normal' again.
 | Well then there are other teen stars who came before him, Hilary Duff, Bow Wow, Miley Cyrus who suffered the same stuff. And I do think you can compare him with a boyband because they target the same group of consumers; teen girls. And yes, I agree, he gave up normal life to chase hs dreams not for his fans or whatever he meant in that tweet.  |

 | I don't know if this is anything to do with Selena but I'm going to assume not, and that it's just a breakdown of sorts (people have that sometimes, it's natural - especially for artists).

And yes, what you said is true. Fans are the result of chasing your dream and becoming relevant. If people like your shizzle, they will follow your every move. And then move on someday.

That 'someday', though, is probably not in the near future when it comes to Justin. He loses and gains fans everyday, but his 'Boyfriend' debut (talking about sales now) at 520k shows that he still has power - tons of it.  |

 | Yeah that was a mean trending topic. Don't get the pleasure people get from directly tweeting celebrities **** or trending topics they can see.

Look, no one knows what'll happen in the future but he needs to build up a more mature fanbase if he wants to transition because teenage girls are fickle. They'll eventually move on to the next big thing. For the life of me, I can't see Justin Bieber transitioning as succesfully as Chris Brown did. Older people don't really respect him as an artist that much.

But like I said, IMO. None of us knows what will happen.  |

Look, Miley, Hilary, Jonas, they all come from Disney. Disney, for a lack of a better expression, '****s people up'. They do. Selena and very few other stars are the only ones that made it out intact (hopefully!), and I just hope they don't go through what Demi/Miley/etc...went through.

JBieber never had the Disney machine. He didn't have someone constantly pushing for him, saying 'oh you have to be a role model to young girls'. No, he didn't. He had his family, friends, Usher, Chaz, Scooter, and a bunch of people HE KNEW like his family when he was on the road. That makes a huge difference.  |

 | See that's why I brought up the sales. Because of this argument. Jonas Brothers and many others had high debuts before they suddenly collapsed as well. Debuting high now, doesn't automatically mean your fans are still going to be here for you in a year or so.  |

 | I don't get your point?

I agree Yana. We dont know what will happen. We just assume it.But i have a feeling that his album will be VERY good and much better than just Boyfriend but he showed me with Boyfriend that he takes it seriously and is able to do better music and is gonna improve a lot in the future.

 | They don't ruin careers, they ruin people's inner child, in the way that so much pressure is put upon them to 'oh, be perfect, don't do this, do that', that when they actually leave Disney, most of them can't cope with the pressure.

This is not the first time it has happened.  |

 | I agree and disagree. Thats what Disney always did with their stars but at the end its up to them.
Look at Miley it seems like she couldnt wait to get out of there. She didnt care that she was there and did what she wanted and its up to you, your own person. You need to surround yourself with good people.  |

 | Not if they don't have a clear head.

Miley wanted to break out, yes, but Demi wasn't much of a independent person up until recently.

I mean, the 'good people' argument is true and very dainty, but sometimes people turn out to be fake - Anna Oliver, Hanna Beth, etc...

Like I said, I'm glad Selena doesn't hang out with those kind of people.  |

 | Well that with Demi is a different story. I think Demi is very influental. People influent her a lot.
And yes especially Hannah. I hope they dont hang out as much now.  |

 | Hmm. I think it depends on the person to be honest. I think a lot of teen celebrities put a lot of pressurre on themselves. I don't think we can blame Disney for trying to perserve their brand. When you go to work there are certain rules you need to live by as well. A lot of really famous disney kids, Raven Symone, Hilary Duff, Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Selena Gomez etc, have hold up pretty well.

It depends on your family, the people you surround yourself with, your support system to deal with fame.  |
