I wish they'd scrap Gambit, no one is here for him and Channing is NOT gonna do him justice
They should make a movie based around Silver Surfer instead tbh.
Gambit might as well continue on, it doesn't take away from the main X-Men movies and keeps the franchise bringing in cash between group films. It drops in a year where Apocalypse will slay the summer and (hopefully) Deadpool slays the critics and does moderately well at the BO (it's rated R so remember it won't bring in mega bucks).
I just need them to get it together and announce a 2018 X-Men sequel to Apocalypse either set in the late 1980s or else the 1990s with the young cast of Storm, Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Angel, possibly Gambit, and a couple of new recasts like Iceman, Kitty, Rogue and then deliver us iconic villains like Mr. Sinister or Mojo. And if it's 90s, they better serve this opening theme
My dream for these movies is when the X-Men take a beating, then go off and feel sorry for themselves, then come back united to defeat the enemy at the end... this theme starts blasting through the theater as they slaughter Apocalypse and ha flops.

Yassss. 90s Storm iconic white jumpsuit.
I need Sinister on screen or Shadow King (because that would mean a more focus on Storm movie)
I wonder how Mr. Sinister would look in live action. Could be either fantastic or a flop. I like the way Apoc looks from the pictures we've had but it obviously can't compare to how he looks in the cartoons.
- Apocalypse might last more than 2 hours because it's a bit beefier than the rest
- Trailer coming in 6 months
- There's an homage at the end of the movie

I hope they mean theatrical trailer. They need to serve a teaser but I'm worried they won't because they have too many movies in the pipeline in between: Deadpool obv, but also Peanuts movie, Kung Fu Panda 3 and Alvin and the Chipmunks for kids, Victor Frankenstein (Dan Radcliffe and James McAvoy) for the indie crowd, Joy (Jennifer Lawrence) for awards season...
They could always drop a trailer and let it just stay online, not attach it to any movie or anything. Deadpool will carry the theatrical trailer for sure, but we can't wait until February for completed footage
“There’s even an homage at the end — it’s going to get spoiled because they decided to use it in the trailer, which comes out in, like, six months — but it’s kind of a wrap-up of the six movies.”
I think this homage thing is just going to be a Twilight style acknowledgment of all the actors/characters from the previous movies
They're using it in the trailers, so those actors would need to be in character... i.e. using the entire cast from all movies to attract maximum viewers. I would KILL for it to be a 90s animated series homage though, music and all.
They must be going for an X-Men Evolution style end of the Apocalypse saga:
Thanks to you all, we have averted catastrophe.
It was not without its price, however.
But steel is forged through fire, and like it, we have become mighty.
We are prepared for what the future brings.
I know this because I have glimpsed it in the mind of Apocalypse.
Many challenges still await us.
But I saw some who have been our enemies become friends and with a heavy heart, I saw the dearest of friends become the most terrible of enemies.
I saw my X-Men grow and change and, of course, I saw that some people never change.
But one thing was clear: that no matter what awaits us, terrible or wondrous, the X-Men will always be there, ready, and of that, I am proud.

the end of X-men evolution was so heartfelt and seeing the phoenix through xavier's vision was so intense. I’d love if they took this kind of directional route

BRYAN CRANSTON REVEALS HE WANTS TO PLAY MR. SINISTER
During a panel for his new show SuperMansion at New York Comic-Con, Cranston revealed he'd like to play Mr. Sinister.
Cranston had previously said he'd like to play a completely new villain, but it seems he's changed his mind. And why not? Mr. Sinister was introduced into the X-Men universe in 1987, and is one of those "all-in-one" mutants: a telepathic genius who can project energy, shape-shift, regenerate and generally be a real pain in the ass to anybody who dares to cross him. More, he's yet to appear in Fox's cinematic X-Men series. Said Cranston, "“It intrigues me to be able to play a character that hasn’t been on film before, so you can create it from the beginning."
