Yeah. As long as she ensures MTN and Scheiße are the smashes they deserve to be, she can release whatever she wants Oh, and I'd love Hair to be released, because I think radio would eat it up.

I'm thinking #3 is going to be her peak for a while, at least until her pop airplay puts her into the top 10 or so.
She's at what? 17 right now, and Pumped up Kicks is at 11....so. It'll be a while I think before she passes that (and Adele is staying at #1/2 for a long while soon).

HML is fine for the radio...
Its easy to listen to and very refreshing. Some minor censoring is all it needs.

Totally agree, except for Hair.
I'm not sure exactly how that would help.
She promoted that song with The Edge of Glory at random places right? Did she experience a lot of album sales from it? (You can't really compare how the song itself did on Itunes because it wasn't a real single at the time).
However, The Edge did much better as a promo single than did Hair, right?
+ For example, You and I had a much stronger effect on the albums on Itunes than did any of the Hair/TEOG medleys/performances, right?
I just don't see Hair doing what (we, interscope, anybody else) wants it to. I think she'd be better off showing off another gem from the album instead of it.
However, if it came down to Americano or Hair, I'm team Hair.

Thanks for saying that.
Ever since You and I was released as a single, I've been preaching the Gospel of HML, and everyone in here's trying to say it's a clear radio flop.
I think it's the closest we'll get to LoveGame on the album.

TEOG did much better as a promo single because it was the first promo single, and it was mistakenly thought of as the next single. I just think her Hair performances have been some of the finest of the era. Paul O'Grady and Taratata were outstanding. Plus, I just love the song because of the carefree nature of it. For that reason, I think it'd do really well as a single. It's almost Katy-Perry-esque; a song with not a lot to think about that is incredibly catchy and everyone ends up loving it. It's the only song on the album that everyone I know likes.

Agree 100%!!!!! I want it as the 6th single after MTN. Hair is better for the spring.

Hmm. I would say that HML/BK/HU are all similar in the "radio friendly" aspect. They all aren't obvious smashes like other songs. But, I think those are also songs that could squeeze some amount of success out of it.
Can't confirm the Adele bit.
I thought it was MTV that said that HML was the best song this year? or 2nd? Can't remember, lol.

HU is not radio friendly. BK is. HML could work I think. It's good.

She shouldn't loose the top 10 streak... Flop singles don't sell an album too.

I Can't at people saying HML is gonna be a flop. Yeah, that's exactly what happened to U&I...

Oh, I'm not debating whether or not her performances were great or not. Her performances of Hair have all been truly remarkable, but I don't think they had much of an impact. Perhaps it's because it wasn't a "single," but I feel like that's something to consider.
I think Hair is very polarizing, at least for people on ATRL. My mom didn't like Hair. Most people I know like the following:
Bloody Mary.
Marry The Night.
Scheisse.
Unfortunately, Bloody Mary is SOL, but the other two have potential; I think.
When the album was released, my radio station played Scheisse. I don't know if they played anything else from the album, but I was getting off work and got in the car to hear, "I don't speak German but I can if you'd like."
AS SOON AS I GOT IN THE CAR TOO. It was so great.

Reason 10, 0000 people who write on forums aren't qualified to work in A&R much as they think they are.

I think if they cut down the intro, similar to what they might do for scheisse, it could be a good late single.
Highway Unicorn is among the least "preachy" songs. It's not all that cheesey to me, unless you count the mention of a unicorn or rainbow syrup.
It's one of the most if not the most carefree song on the album. A bit trance-y to me though.

Early performances of Y&I didn't do much for the song either, it requires a solid foundation of radio support before taking off, unless it is performed on a really huge show, like XF or something.
