On the one hand, I knew she wasn't big enough to book the pre-show. I'm not surprised. I got a little glimmer of hope from the MTV premiere of SL, but, overall, I'm not surprised and I can't totally blame RCA.

On the other hand, if ****ing Jidenna could book it, Tinashe could too. Like... Lukas have a #1 hit and Alessia has a top 5 hit and has been buzzing in the mainstream for over a year, but Jidenna... over Tinashe. Come on!

Oh lawd...you don't even know what "Hot Like Fire" is? How old are you? YouTube it...it's an Aaliyah song/video.

Baby Boy = the dance scene on the random shiny stage that just happened to be at the beach

Starships = more of scenery and cinematography. Both have very bold colors, and dramatic panning in and left to right

Hot Like Fire = the end dance scene w/ all her girls and boys w/ Jeeps/cars in background

How do they expect this song to do well if they don't book her performance slots?? They want her to have a hit so bad but when the potential hit comes, they don't want to promote it. The VMAs is the perfect time to do something.
