Not what I meant. You can't truly understand how it feels to be anyone without being in the situation. I can't expect straight people to understand how it is to be gay, just like how I can't truly understand how it is to be transgendered.

Why do I have to have a stance on transgender people? I don't look at a trans person and think differently.

The trans community is easily the most misunderstood sub-community within the LGBT community. This is mainly because ignorant people don't get that gender and sex and two completely different things, and that what you have in between your legs does not define who you are or what you are.

Trans people are people born in the wrong physical body. A trans man is a man psychologically and a trans woman is a woman psychologically. Trans people do not normally take hormones or get surgery because they want to change what they are since they already know what they are. They take hormones or get surgery so that their brains and bodies will match.

That's a bit too simplistic. Brains don't have genders. On average there are differences, but you wouldn't be able to tell the gender just by taking a random brain.

My view on transgender people is that they are free to live their lives and do with their bodies as they please. I don't judge. But I am against public funding of sexual reassignment surgery. They should pay for their own transition. However, that has more to do with my stance on socialism in health care than my stance on the medical necessity of sexual reassignment.

I've been listed as an organ donor since I was 18. My best friend says he cannot because it's against his beliefs. I don't understand any religion that wouldn't allow you to save a life if you had the power.

Some religions are very controlling when it comes to things like organ donation, but I agree that if someone is able bodied with functioning organs, why not be an organ donor?

Everyone should be one. no mater if you've signed up or not. It saves lives and it's need. as long as it doesn't go on the outer looks if my close ones want an open casket.

I think that if you have the power to save someones life than you should donate organs however for me personally i would not donate my organs to a stranger it just doesn't sit right with me, especially considering that i dont know the person and they could potentially abuse their body afterwards.

I already made a commitment to donate all my organs once I pass away. You're not really going to be needing them once you're gone so why not give them to someone who needs them? It's definitely something I will be doing.

Yes! You don't know how many of my friends want to do it, but are too lazy to go and sign up
